## Overview

[Convex](https://www.convex.dev/startups) runs a startup program that gives eligible companies up to **1 year of Convex Professional** at no cost, waiving the normal $25 per developer per month seat fee, and applies **30% off usage-based fees** up to $30,000 in savings. Convex is a TypeScript-first backend with a built-in database, functions, file storage, scheduling, search and AI agent components.

## Eligibility

## How to Get Started

1. Create a Convex account and project, then upgrade to the Starter plan with a card on file.

3. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Approved teams keep the same project and receive Professional benefits plus the usage discount.
4. After 12 months the account returns to standard pricing.

Note: usage beyond the included quotas is billed, so the program reduces cost rather than removing it.
