Stripe for Startups

Overview

Stripe for Startups is a program for early-stage, venture-backed businesses. Rather than a fixed cash grant, it provides credits that offset Stripe fees (or waived processing fees in markets without fee credits), a capped Invoicing rate, and access to founder education, advice, and community. Per Stripe's program FAQ, the offer lasts 12 months from activation.

Program Credits & Benefits

• Fee credits or fee waivers: In 31 listed markets credits offset fees across Payments, Connect, Billing, Tax, and Sigma. In all other countries, standard card and local payment method processing fees are waived. Excluded: Crypto, Capital, Atlas, Terminal devices, Link passthrough, PayPal fees, and professional services.
• Invoicing cap: Invoicing fees are 0.4%, capped at $10 USD per paid invoice for the first 12 months (select new members; local currency caps apply).
• Treasury: A $1,000 USD offer requires signing up for a Stripe card within 7 days and depositing cash within 30 days of card creation.
• Education, advice, community: Programming, integration and third-party tool guidance, and a network of founders and Stripe leaders.
• Duration: 12 months from activation; you have 12 months to activate. One offer per company lifetime; offers are not retroactive and cannot be paused.

Eligibility

• Early-stage, venture-backed companies; proof of institutional funding is required (e.g., a PitchBook link naming investors or a funding announcement).
• An active, fully verified Stripe account, standard pricing, a supported country for fee credits, no other platform controlling pricing, and no prior offer.

How to Apply

1. Apply through an investor's private referral link, or submit the form at stripe.com/startups.
2. Provide funding proof and an active, fully verified Stripe account.
3. Decisions typically arrive within 2-3 business days; credits can take up to 2 days to appear after activation.
