Vultr Free Tier Program

Overview

Vultr runs a Free Tier Program that provides eligible applicants with a free Cloud Compute instance. Access is not automatic: you request early access from your Vultr account, and accounts are admitted in phases through a randomized, weighted selection.

Free Instance Specs

• 1 vCPU
• 512 MB RAM
• 10 GB SSD
• 1 IPv4 address
• 2 TB of global bandwidth per month
• Available in Miami, Seattle, and Frankfurt

The instance is deployed from Cloud Compute > Regular > Free Instance and can later be resized to a larger paid plan.

Eligibility & Selection

• Anyone can apply.
• Access is granted on a randomized basis using a weighted score computed during identity and usage validation; the more detail you provide about yourself and your intended use, the higher the score and the better the odds.
• This is an early-access roll-out with limited quantities per region, and Vultr gives priority to business email sign-ups.
• Vultr does not share its verification criteria, and admission is not guaranteed.
• Applicants are notified by email and in the Vultr console; the free instance then appears on the deploy page.

How to Get Started

1. Create a Vultr account at vultr.com.
2. Open the Free Tier Program page and submit the early-access request with as much detail as possible.
3. After admission, deploy the free instance and build.

Vultr publishes no hard end date for the program; fit it to prototyping and small workloads rather than production.
