What's free from Ollama
Ollama Cloud Free Plan · Free tier
A free Ollama account includes a starter amount of cloud-model usage on a smaller set of starter models, resetting monthly from your signup date, usable from the Ollama app, CLI or the ollama.com API with an API key; running models locally stays unlimited.
The catch: Ollama does not publish the starter amount or name the starter models, and Free allows 1 concurrent request; all other cloud models need purchased usage credits.
- Starter usage amount not published; resets monthly from the signup date and does not roll over
- Starter models only; buying usage credits unlocks all models
- 1 concurrent request on Free (requests beyond it are queued)
- One Ollama account per person
