Build a hackathon app on 4,000 free Kiro credits, worth about $160 at Kiro's $0.04 add-on rate, with Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, GPT-5.6 Sol, Kimi K3 and more.
Kiroween is Kiro's yearly Halloween hackathon on Devpost. Enter solo or in a team of up to 3. Entry is free and open to everyone, not just students.
The catch: one code per person, first come, first served, an ID check by Didit, and the credits are meant for your hackathon build.
How to claim: 1) Sign up at app.kiro.dev and copy your User ID from the usage dashboard → 2) Join the hackathon on Devpost → 3) Fill the credit form on the Resources tab with your Devpost email, Kiro User ID, a category and one line on what you will build → 4) Pass the Didit ID check (ID photo plus a selfie) that Devpost emails you. Codes arrive within about 48 business hours; log in to Kiro first, then open the link.
Deadline: request credits by Dec 1, 2026, 12 PM PT; redeem your code and submit your project by Dec 4 (submissions close 2 PM PT). Credits expire Dec 31.
