What you get from AssemblyAI Free Credits for free
AssemblyAI offers new accounts $50 in free credits with no credit card required.
What Is Included
The free credits apply to pay-as-you-go usage of AssemblyAI's speech AI services, including pre-recorded speech-to-text, real-time streaming transcription, the Voice Agent API, and audio intelligence features.
Key Terms
- The pricing page lists free-tier streaming concurrency of 5 new streams per minute (versus 100 new streams per minute on pay-as-you-go).
- The credits do not expire, and unused credits stay on the account after adding a card.
- LLM Gateway usage is not covered by the free credits.
- Free-tier accounts may default to different models than paid accounts; set the
speech_modelsparameter explicitly to avoid unexpected charges after upgrading.
