Overview
Civo is a UK-based cloud provider specialising in managed Kubernetes. New customers receive an introductory $250 credit. To claim it you must add a valid credit or debit card within 21 days of signing up; the card is not charged while credit remains.
Free Credit Terms
- $250 introductory credit for new accounts.
- A valid credit/debit card must be added within 21 days of signup. Virtual, prepaid, and single-use cards are not accepted.
- The credit is valid for one month from the date it was applied, or until the end of the month following its application (credit awarded on 15 May runs until 30 June).
- Billable usage is debited from the credit first; once it is exhausted or expires, charges go to your card.
- There is no ongoing free tier.
What You Can Run
Civo's managed Kubernetes control plane is free; you pay only for worker nodes and add-ons. Six public regions are available (London LON1 and LON2, Frankfurt FRA1, New York NYC1, Phoenix PHX1, Mumbai MUM1), egress and public IPs carry no charge, and clusters start in under 90 seconds according to Civo. A 100+ app marketplace includes Postgres, Argo CD, Prometheus, and cert-manager, and provisioning works through the dashboard, the civo CLI, REST API, or Terraform provider.
How to Get Started
- Sign up at dashboard.civo.com/signup with no card required initially.
- Verify your email, then add a card under Billing to unlock the $250 credit.
- Set a billing alert before launching resources, then create a cluster or VM from the dashboard.
Because unused credit evaporates at the end of the following month, plan your workload before signing up.
