Google Cloud Free Program

The Google Cloud Free Program offers new customers two ways to evaluate and build on Google Cloud at no initial cost: a 90-day Free Trial with $300 in Welcome credit and the ongoing Free Tier covering over 20 core products.

Free Trial Overview

• $300 Welcome Credit: Valid for 90 days across eligible Google Cloud products and services.
• No Automatic Charges: You are not billed during the trial unless you explicitly choose to upgrade to a Paid billing account.
• Restrictions: The $300 credit cannot be applied to the Gemini API in AI Studio or third-party partner models (Model as a Service). During the trial, GPU additions, Windows Server VM instances, VMware Engine, and quota increases are disabled.

Google Cloud Always-Free Tier

The Free Tier provides free monthly usage limits for select services that continue even after your trial ends:

• Compute Engine: 1 non-preemptible e2-micro VM instance per month (US regions: us-central1, us-east1, us-west1), 30 GB-months standard persistent disk, and 1 GB outbound data transfer.
• Cloud Run: 2 million requests per month, 360,000 GB-seconds memory, and 180,000 vCPU-seconds of compute time.
• Cloud Storage: 5 GB-months regional storage (US regions only), 5,000 Class A operations, and 50,000 Class B operations per month.
• BigQuery: 1 TiB of data querying per month and 10 GiB of storage per month.
• Firestore: 1 GiB storage per project, 50,000 reads, 20,000 writes, and 20,000 deletes per day.
• Pub/Sub: 10 GiB of messages per month.
• Cloud Build: 2,500 build-minutes per month for e2-standard-2 machine types.

Eligibility & Verification

• Available to new Google Cloud customers who have not previously been paying users of Google Cloud, Google Maps Platform, or Firebase.
• Requires a valid credit card or bank account for identity verification and fraud prevention (a temporary hold of $0.00-$1.00 USD is placed and subsequently released).
