Overview
Cloudflare for Startups gives early-stage companies credits on Cloudflare's developer platform, covering compute, AI, storage, and delivery services. The program documents three tiers based on funding stage.
Program Credits & Benefits
- Tier 1 - $350k: For companies with $5M+ raised and funded by an affiliated partner; includes an account manager, priority technical support, and bi-weekly Solutions Architect office hours.
- Tier 2 - $100k: For companies with under $5M raised and funded by an affiliated partner; includes an account manager (case-dependent) and technical sessions.
- Tier 3 - $10k: For bootstrapped or self-funded companies with under $1M raised; includes community and events access plus docs and Discord support.
- Credits apply to usage-based services: Workers, Workers for Platforms, Durable Objects, Workflows, KV, D1, Queues, Vectorize, R2 (capped at $10,000), Pages, Images, Stream, Cache Reserve, and Argo Smart Routing. Workers AI is capped at $2,500 (Tier 3), $10,000 (Tier 2), and $50,000 (Tier 1). AI Gateway is temporarily not covered.
- Every tier includes three enterprise domains, unlimited Business and Pro plans, WAF with 1,000 custom rules, CDN/DNS, load balancing (2 origins), rate limiting (1 rule), and a 100% SLA.
How to Apply
- Open the application form on the Cloudflare for Startups page; most founders finish in under three minutes.
- Provide company, domain, and funding details for eligibility checks.
- Submit and wait for review, which typically takes up to 48 hours. Credits are valid for one year or until fully consumed, whichever comes first; extensions are not available.
Before you claim
- Company age: Founded within the last 10 years
- Funding stage: Funded up to Series B, with funding received within the last 12 months
- Other: For-profit business with a business email matching the company domain
- Other: Has not previously been approved into the program
- Verification: Building a technology product with a valid, publicly accessible website
- Verification: Active on LinkedIn, X, or GitHub
- Who can claim: For-profit tech startups founded within 10 years, funded up to Series B within the last 12 months, with a public website and business email.
- Payment card: Required to claim.
- Account: Sign up with the provider.
Key limits
- Credits valid one year or until fully consumed, whichever comes first
- Payment method must be uploaded to your Cloudflare account
- R2 Object Storage capped at $10,000 in credits
- Workers AI capped at $2,500 (Tier 3), $10,000 (Tier 2), or $50,000 (Tier 1)
- AI Gateway temporarily not covered by credits
- Founded within the last 10 years; funded up to Series B within the last 12 months
- First-time applicants only; one-time opportunity per startup
Eligibility
Companies must be founded within the last 10 years, funded up to Series B and funded within the last 12 months, building a technology product, with a live public website and an active LinkedIn, X, or GitHub presence. First-time applicants only; for-profit with a business email matching the company domain. Educational institutions, personal blogs, consultancies, service agencies, MSPs, and resellers are excluded.
