Oracle Academy Cloud Program

Overview

The Oracle Academy Cloud Program gives Oracle Academy Institutional members, and their students anywhere, access to Oracle Cloud. Member educators and their students receive US$300 of free credits valid for one year, in addition to Always Free resources that carry no expiration.

Eligibility

• Your institution must be an Oracle Academy Institutional member. Membership is free but must be applied for by faculty at an accredited institution.
• Educators provision student cloud accounts from the Oracle Academy member site; students cannot enrol individually.
• Access is for teaching, learning, and not-for-profit academic research. Commercial use is prohibited under the membership agreement.

What You Get

• US$300 in Oracle Cloud credits valid for one year, usable on eligible OCI services including compute, storage, Kubernetes, and OCI Generative AI.
• Always Free resources with no time limit: 2 AMD micro VMs, 2 OCPUs + 12 GB RAM of Arm Ampere A1 capacity, 200 GB block storage, 2 Oracle Autonomous AI Databases (1 OCPU and 20 GB each), 20 GB object storage, and 10 TB/month outbound data transfer.
• Free developer tooling: Oracle APEX, SQL Developer Web, SQL Notebooks for machine learning, Oracle REST Data Services, and Oracle Instant Client.
• Oracle Academy curriculum covering database design and SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and APEX application development.

How to Get Started

1. Check whether your institution already appears in the Oracle Academy member directory.
2. If not, a faculty member applies to join Oracle Academy as an Institutional member.
3. Once approved, an educator signs in to the member site and provisions student accounts.
4. Students sign in to the Oracle Cloud console with the credentials they receive.

When the US$300 credit expires after one year, Always Free resources continue at no cost.
