Pollinations Free API

Overview

Pollinations is an open-source generative AI platform whose API can be called directly by URL. Anonymous requests work without an account or key, and free models on the platform cost zero Pollen.

Free Access

• No signup required. Requests such as https://gen.pollinations.ai/text/{prompt} or the legacy https://text.pollinations.ai/{prompt} and https://image.pollinations.ai/prompt/{prompt} endpoints work anonymously, subject to rate limits.
• Free models always cost 0 Pollen. Paid models spend prepaid Pollen, where 1 Pollen is roughly $1. Free models can be called anonymously or with an API key.
• Registering and creating an API key raises rate limits and unlocks the full catalog: front-end keys are for client-side apps, server-to-server keys for backends.
• Anonymous callers are limited to basic models; registering without using a key keeps the anonymous limits.

Daily Pollen grants are also given to registered developers based on their account tier.

Available Free Modalities

The catalog spans text, image, audio, video, 3D and embeddings. Community publishers list free-to-call models with no numeric price, including Catniti/deepseek-r1-free, NamanSoni78/Z-Image-Turbo, NamanSoni78/Imagine-4, NamanSoni78/whisper-large-v3 and NamanSoni78/aura-2-thalia-en.

How to Get Started

Call https://gen.pollinations.ai/text/{prompt} anonymously, or open enter.pollinations.ai to create an account and API key. Model IDs follow the publisher/model convention, and older short IDs such as flux remain available as aliases.
