Qdrant is an open-source vector search engine. Qdrant Cloud has a Free Tier labelled "Free forever" for testing and prototypes, and the cluster docs state you don't need a credit card to join.
Free Tier Quotas & Limits
- 1 single-node cluster: 0.5 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB disk
- Qdrant says this configuration serves about 1M vectors of 768 dimensions
- Free Cloud Inference with selected models
- Basic monitoring, basic log access, basic alerting
- Only manual snapshots and restores via API; version upgrades with downtime
- No dedicated resources; limited choice of cloud providers and regions
- If unused, the cluster is suspended after 1 week and deleted after 4 weeks of inactivity unless reactivated
Paid Upgrades
The Standard Tier is usage-based with dedicated resources, horizontal and vertical scaling, highly available setups, backups and a 99.5% uptime SLA.
How to Get Started
Sign up for Qdrant Cloud, open the Create a cluster screen and pick Free. Qdrant itself is open source, so the same engine can also be self-hosted.
