UpCloud Free Trial Up to $500 in Credits

Overview

UpCloud is a Finnish cloud provider operating 15 data centres across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Australia, known for MaxIOPS block storage, a 100% uptime SLA and zero data-transfer fees. New sign-ups get a free trial with free credit — UpCloud's pricing page currently advertises "your 30-day free trial today, with $500 in free credit," while its FAQ notes "the exact amount changes from time to time."

Free Tier Quotas & Limits

• Trial credit: up to $500 under the current signup promotion. The free-trial documentation describes a standard 7-day trial and notes that promotions "may offer longer trial periods," so confirm the live offer on the signup page.
• Trial resource quotas: cloud servers with 2 cores / 4 GB memory (all OSes except Windows); 60 GB each of Archive, Standard and MaxIOPS block storage; 2 IPv4 and 2 IPv6 addresses; 1 NAT/VPN gateway; 1 managed object storage instance (250 GB); 1 managed database with 1 node (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Valkey or OpenSearch); 1 managed load balancer (Development plan) and 1 managed Kubernetes cluster (Development plan).
• Excluded from the trial: Windows servers, on-demand GPU servers, Private Cloud and Private Cloud GPUs.
• Trial credits are not rolled over and, for standard 7-day trials, expire 7 days after account creation. A locked firewall restricts trial traffic to standard ports and blocks SMTP.

Eligibility

New users only, and the trial must be activated within 365 days of registration. A credit card and billing information are required to verify identity, but UpCloud states the card "will not be charged before, during, or after the trial period."

How to Get Started

Sign up at signup.upcloud.com, verify your email and identity, then activate the free trial from the UpCloud Control Panel. When the trial ends, deployed services are removed unless you upgrade with a minimum one-time deposit.
