Overview

Cartesia offers a perpetual Free tier designed for developers prototyping ultra-fast, real-time voice and speech applications. It renews monthly at $0 and provides recurring credits for text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and managed conversational voice agents.

What is Included

The Free plan includes recurring monthly allowances across Cartesia's core speech intelligence stack:

• Model Credits: 20,000 credits refreshed monthly.
• Prepaid Voice Agent Balance: $1.00 per month for managed agent telephony and runtime.
• Text to Speech (Sonic-3.6): Approximately 27 minutes of generated audio per month, supporting up to 2 concurrent requests.
• Speech to Text (Ink-2): Approximately 1 hour and 51 minutes of audio transcription per month, supporting up to 8 concurrent requests.
• Managed Voice Agents: Up to 8 concurrent calls and 1 Cartesia-provisioned phone number. Calls run at a standard rate of $0.06 per minute (deducted from prepaid agent funds).
• Workspace Seats: Unlimited workspace seats on all plans.
• Promotional Access: LLM usage during calls for UI-created agents and automated evaluations are free of charge for a limited time.

Usage Limits & Considerations

• Non-Commercial Use: The Free plan is intended for evaluation and testing; commercial usage licenses require upgrading to the Pro plan ($5/mo) or above.
• Voice Cloning: Instant and professional voice cloning require paid subscription tiers.
• Concurrency: Fixed at 2 concurrent TTS requests and 8 concurrent STT or voice agent connections.
