MongoDB for Startups

Overview

MongoDB for Startups provides tiered Atlas credits, technical expertise, dedicated support, and Voyage AI tokens to early-stage companies building a single software product. Benefits scale across four stage-based tiers; MongoDB does not publish exact credit dollar amounts.

Program Credits & Benefits

• Atlas credits: "baseline," "expanded," "additional," and "maximum" credits depending on tier.
• Voyage AI access: advanced embedding and reranker models for high-performance retrieval.
• Technical expertise: hands-on technical support, with priority support at the Scale tier.
• Go-to-market opportunities and an exclusive one-on-one session with an expert.
• Platform features: global/multi-region clusters, built-in vector search, and real-time data streaming.

Tiers by stage

• Inspire (bootstrapped): baseline credits to validate an idea.
• Grow (early-funded): expanded credits plus hands-on technical support.
• Innovate (rising VC-backed): additional credits and expanded expertise.
• Scale (rapidly scaling): maximum credits, priority support, and expert guidance.

Eligibility

• Less than 7 years old and Series A or earlier.
• Focused on a single software-based product or service; development shops and agencies are not eligible.
• Not previously accepted into the program.
• An active company website and LinkedIn profile. Existing MongoDB/Atlas users are eligible.

How to Apply

1. Ask your VC, accelerator, or incubator to refer you, or apply via the form on the program page.
2. Accepted startups get a promo code, activated under Billing > Apply Code at account.mongodb.com.
3. Credits must be activated within 12 months and used within 12 months of activation; extensions are reviewed case-by-case when 3 months remain.
