Overview

Sarvam AI is an Indian AI platform built around the country's 22 scheduled languages. According to the official Credits & Rate Limits documentation, Sarvam offers ₹100 worth of free credits to every user on signup, usable across any of its APIs, with no upfront cost.

Free Tier Quotas & Limits

• ₹100 in complimentary credits on signup
• Credits are universal and can be used across all supported APIs
• Credits never expire and roll over automatically until used
• Starter-plan rate limits: 60 requests/min for speech, translation, and text services; 40 requests/min for Sarvam-105B; 20 requests/min for batch speech-to-text; 10 requests/min for Vision
• Limits are enforced per account, not per API key
• Once credits are exhausted, API calls return errors until you top up
• No monthly commitment and no credit card required

Key APIs

Speech-to-text (Saaras), text-to-speech (Bulbul), translation and transliteration (Sarvam-Translate, Mayura), language identification, document intelligence, dubbing, and chat completion with Sarvam-105B. An OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint is available.

Eligibility

Open to any developer with an email address. Credits are tied to a single account; organization-level shared accounts are not yet available.

How to Get Started

Sign up at the Sarvam dashboard, generate an API key, and call the REST endpoints directly or through the SDK. Credits are provisioned automatically on first login.
