Overview

Tripo AI generates 3D models from text and images through Tripo Studio and an OpenAPI. API usage is billed in credits priced at $0.01 each, and Tripo issues free credits to new accounts and to game developers building on Tripo Game Hub.

Free Tier Quotas & Limits

2,000 OpenAPI credits are granted per account the first time an API key is generated, as announced in Tripo's OpenAPI platform launch post. At $0.01 per credit this is worth $20.
The Tripo Studio Free plan includes 200 monthly credits (roughly 13 models), one concurrent task, public models with non-commercial use, and a standard queue.
Free-tier OpenAPI concurrency is limited to 10 simultaneous Draft tasks and 5 simultaneous Refine tasks.
Credit packs start at $10 for 1,000 credits; purchased credits do not expire.

Tripo Game Hub Developer Credits

The Game Hub Developer API Credit Program adds:

A one-time 5,000-credit grant (worth $50) for development and testing, requested through the official application form.
10,000 bonus credits (worth $100), granted automatically once the published game passes Tripo's examination, provided the API key in the game matches the one used during development.
Applications may be resubmitted up to twice per month with a valid reason; the lifetime cap is 5,000,000 credits ($50,000).

Key Models

The API exposes Tripo v1.4, v2.0, v2.5 and v3.0 for text-to-3D, image-to-3D, multiview, texture, retopology and rigging tasks. The current quickstart uses model IDs such as tripo-v3.1 against https://openapi.tripo3d.ai/v3.
