Overview
Gladia is a European speech-to-text API built around its Solaria models. New accounts receive a one-time €50 credit at signup, valid for one year; the pricing page puts it at roughly 312 hours of async transcription on Solaria-3, 185 hours on Solaria-1 or 73 hours of real-time transcription at current rates.
Free Credit & Limits
- One-time €50 credit applied at signup, valid for one year (not a recurring monthly allowance).
- Self-serve concurrency: 30 real-time and 25 async concurrent requests.
- Once the credit is used, billing is pay-as-you-go: €0.16/hour async on Solaria-3, €0.27/hour on Solaria-1 and €0.68/hour real-time.
- Async rates fall with monthly volume, down to €0.12/hour on Solaria-3 at 10,000+ hours; top-ups of €1,000 or more earn 10-20% bonus credits.
- Usage is metered in audio-hours against a prepaid credit wallet.
Features Included
The credit unlocks the same feature set as paid Self-serve: async file transcription, real-time WebSocket streaming, automatic language detection, code-switching across 100+ languages, speaker diarization, word-level timestamps, and translation (beta) in 99 languages. Audio-intelligence add-ons such as named entity recognition, sentiment and summarization are also available.
How to Get Started
- Sign up at app.gladia.io/signup; Google sign-in is available.
- Copy the default API key in the dashboard, or create a scoped key.
- Call the async endpoint
POST https://api.gladia.io/v2/pre-recorded/, or open a live WebSocket session; authenticate with thex-gladia-keyheader.
