Gladia Free Credits

Overview

Gladia is a European speech-to-text API built around its Solaria models. New accounts receive a one-time €50 credit at signup; the pricing page states this is a single grant with no monthly reset, equivalent to roughly 80+ hours of pre-recorded transcription or 60+ hours of real-time transcription at current rates.

Free Credit & Limits

• One-time €50 credit applied at signup (not a recurring monthly allowance).
• Starter concurrency: 30 real-time and 25 async concurrent requests.
• Once the credit is used, billing is pay-as-you-go: $0.61/hour async and $0.75/hour real-time.
• Growth rates fall as low as $0.20/hour async and $0.25/hour real-time at volume.
• Usage is metered in audio-hours against a prepaid credit wallet.

Features Included

The credit unlocks the same feature set as paid Starter: async file transcription, real-time WebSocket streaming, automatic language detection, code-switching across 100+ languages, speaker diarization, word-level timestamps, and translation (beta) in 99 languages. Audio-intelligence add-ons such as named entity recognition, sentiment and summarization are also available.

How to Get Started

1. Sign up at app.gladia.io/signup; Google sign-in is available.
2. Copy the default API key in the dashboard, or create a scoped key.
3. Call the async endpoint POST https://api.gladia.io/v2/pre-recorded/, or open a live WebSocket session; authenticate with the x-gladia-key header.
