Overview

Pika offers a permanent free Basic subscription plan designed for creative exploration. Users receive 80 monthly video credits to generate and experiment with AI video creation using the Pika 2.5 model.

Features & Generation Costs

The Basic plan provides access to core generation and editing modes capped at 480p resolution:

• Text-to-Video & Image-to-Video: 12 credits for a 5-second generation (480p).
• Pikaffects: 15 credits for 5-second Image-to-Video effects.
• Pikascenes: 20 credits for 5-second scene generation (480p).
• Pikadditions & Pikaswaps: 20 credits for 5-second object modifications and replacements (480p).
• Pikatwists: 60 credits for 5-second generations using the Turbo model (720p).
• Pikaframes: 12 credits for 5-second generations (480p).
• Pikaformance: 3 credits per second for audio-driven animation (up to 10 seconds, 720p).

Limitations

• Resolution Cap: Generations are restricted to 480p (except for Pikatwists Turbo and Pikaformance at 720p). Higher resolutions (720p and 1080p) require a paid subscription.
• Watermark: Video exports include a Pika watermark.
• Commercial Usage: Personal and non-commercial use only.
• Credit Rollover: Unused monthly credits do not roll over, and purchasing supplemental rollover credit packs requires an active paid tier.
• Generation Speed: Runs on standard generation queue priority rather than fast/faster tiers.
